Dr Dvory Namdar is a Senior Researcher in Koltai Lab, at Volcani Center, Agricultural Research Organization, Israel.
Research in Koltai lab is focused on deciphering the “entourage effect” between cannabis compounds while specifying their medical influence at the molecular level on human cells and tissues. The lab combines state of the art chemistry and cellular and molecular biology tools, making novel discoveries in this field. Dr Namdar is the chief chemist in Koltai lab, leading the analytical scientific research group for characterization, separation, purification and identification of secondary metabolites produced by cannabis.
Dvory has a PhD in Archaeological Sciences specializing in analytical chemistry of ancient and modern organic substances manipulated by man. She did her post doc study at the Scientific Department of the British museum, as a laureate of Rothschild scholarship. Returning to Israel Dr Namdar worked as a researcher in Archaeological Science in both Weizmann Institute and the Hebrew University. Today, bringing her analytical abilities to the field of cannabis research, her analytical approach coupled with cutting edge biological studies, sets Koltai lab at the frontier of medical cannabis pioneering research.
